Synopsis

The Extreme Justice team is reeling from the death of Captain Atom. However, that does not let the robotic defenders of Mount Thunder from getting the upper hand. One of the robotic defenders self-destructs, hoping to catch Extreme Justice in the blast; however, Maxima clears a way for the team to safely escape. Mister Synge orders the robotic defenders to redouble their efforts in eliminating Extreme Justice, while the team stumbles onto a control center. As Amazing-Man has a crisis of faith, Blue Beetle accesses Mount Thunder’s computer system. He keys onto a way to combat the intruders: by having Amazing-Man absorb Maxima’s telepathic abilities, it allowed the heroes to fight on two fronts. Even with this strategy, however, the League faltered; that is, until Captain Atom arrived. Instead of destroying him, the energy blast time-skipped Captain Atom minutes into the future (an event that has happened to Captain Atom in the past). With the Captain “back from the dead,” the heroes rally.
